The OFFICIAL LOGO of the Romania Golden Generation team in the retirement match.
Context:
At the beginning of 2024, I had the great pleasure and honor of creating one of the most important logos I have made in my career. The official logo of the Romania Golden Generation team for the retirement match in May, against a selection of former great football legends coached by Jose Mourinho.
The logo is inspired by the one worn by Romania at the 1994 World Cup in the United States, where players like Gheorghe Hagi, Ilie Dumitrescu, Florin Răducioiu, Dan Petrescu, Ionuț Lupeșcu, Costin Gălcă, Miodrag Belodedici, Ioan Ovidiu Săsău, Dorinel Munteanu, and others made history, taking Romania to the quarterfinals – the best performance of the national football team. For the text, a legible, slightly extended font was used, with the three colors of the flag arranged vertically, and in the center, I placed a stylized version of the ball from that World Cup.
The retirement match event took place in May 2024 at the National Arena, under the eyes of over 50 thousand supporters and millions of viewers on TV.
